About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney who is looking for an opportunity to advance their legal career to the next level. As an integral member of our Civil Litigation practice, you will handle a broad spectrum of cases, including contract disputes, personal injury claims, habitability, employment matters, and more. This role offers an excellent platform for professional growth, as you will collaborate closely with experienced partners and have the opportunity to take on challenging cases.
This firm offers a hybrid work schedule (open to remote as well)- out of their San Diego office, a competitive compensation package, and a billable hour target of 1850 annually.
Key Responsibilities:
- From inception to resolution, you will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, and representing clients in court.
- Work collaboratively with team members, contributing to trial preparation and client communication.
- Participate in settlement negotiations, ensuring effective advocacy for clients.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of defense litigation experience
- Ability to manage a caseload independently, while also working collaboratively with team members.
- Strong verbal, written communication, and analytical skills.
- Admitted to practice in California, with a strong preference for candidates in good standing with the CA State Bar.
- Experience in general liability, insurance defense, personal injury, or employment matters is welcomed
